What this site is

This website is published by SIP Arts Foundation, Inc., an Illinois nonprofit corporation, EIN 41-5162632. It exists to share information about our programs and to help families across Southwestern Illinois find support.

Information, not legal advice

We provide community education on special education law, disability rights, and advocacy. We are educators and advocates. We are not attorneys, physicians, or licensed clinicians acting in that capacity through this site, and nothing here is legal, medical, or clinical advice. Laws and agency procedures change. Always confirm your specific situation with a qualified professional. When a situation calls for legal help, we refer families to Equip for Equality, Illinois' protection and advocacy organization.

We link to organizations we trust, but we do not control their content, services, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything that organization does.

Our content

Text, graphics, curriculum materials, and photographs on this site belong to SIP Arts Foundation, Inc. or to the artists and families who created them. You are welcome to share a link, print a page for personal or family use, or use our materials in your own family's advocacy. Please ask before republishing, reselling, or using our materials in paid training.

Artwork and stories

Art made in our programs belongs to the person who made it. Stories belong to the people who lived them. We publish either one only with a signed release, and that permission can be withdrawn.

Community expectations

Our workshops, studio, meals, and online spaces are open to everyone. In return we ask that participants treat each other with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, and attempts to solicit or sell to our families are not permitted, and we may ask someone to leave a program to protect the safety of the community.

Donations and membership

Donations are processed securely through Stripe. Donations are voluntary and generally non-refundable. If you believe a gift was made in error, email us and we will make it right. Membership benefits are described on the membership page and may change over time.

Availability

We work to keep this site accurate and online, but we provide it as is. Program dates, locations, and details can change, so please confirm through the events calendar or by email before you travel.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
