Accessibility is the starting point.
We are a disability organization. Access is not a feature we added to this website, it is the reason the website exists. Tell us where we fall short and we will fix it.

What we build into this site
- A built-in accessibility panel. Every page has controls to enlarge text, increase contrast, underline links, and switch to a more readable typeface. Your choices are remembered as you move through the site.
- Keyboard access. Every menu, button, and link can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and there is a skip link to jump straight to the main content.
- Screen reader support. Pages use proper headings and landmarks, images carry descriptive alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, our animations turn themselves off.
- Plain language. We write without jargon. When a legal or clinical term is unavoidable, we explain it.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1, at Level AA. We test with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and text scaling. This is ongoing work, and some older pages and documents may not be there yet.
Accessibility in our programs
- Adapted tools and grips are set out with the standard supplies at every studio activity.
- Hearing protection, quiet corners, and movement breaks are built into sessions rather than granted on request.
- Communication devices, scripts, and stimming are welcome in every space we run.
- Caregivers, siblings, and support staff are welcome to stay in the room.
- Materials can be provided in large print or read aloud. Ask and we will bring it.
Requesting an accommodation
You never have to explain or document a disability to ask for something that would make participation easier. Email info@sipartsfoundation.org with what would help, ideally a few days before an event so we can prepare. If it is last minute, ask anyway.
Tell us what is not working
If any part of this website or any part of a program is difficult to use, we want to know. Email info@sipartsfoundation.org with the page or program, what happened, and how you were using it. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix confirmed barriers as quickly as we can.
